I watch my past adventures in TNP with family and friends with some a sense of gratitude. I am pleased at the investment of time with these meaningful images preserve. Like this short video, those experiences are fleeting, passing so quickly into the hallways of our memory. When my life is over I want those hallways full. Full of great memories, adventures with family and friends in special wilderness places. Laughing, relaxing, adventuring, and living in the cathedrals of the wild. It is seldom we can break away and do these adventures and we should make each one special. When I find heart felt music which I feel captures the spirit of these outings sometimes I'm inspired. It results in videos like these. These songs help us relive the beauty and warmth of past TNP backpack trips. First is Jason Shaw's "Acoustic Guitar," a beautiful and beckoning musical rendition that opens "Solstice." Second is our friend Byranisms, a TNPr who has created beautiful and hearfelt music I have used on the canvas of TNP adventures many times. This song I named "Sad Departure" as it capture all too eloquently the melancholy I feel when I have to leave these places and leave the memories of times spent with loved ones there as well.
